Eva is 9 years old. Without this surgery, she may lose vision in her left eye.

Hello,
My name is Vitalii Martynenko. I am from Ukraine, Kharkiv. My daughter Eva (9 years old) has suffered since birth from aniridia — a rare genetic condition that causes severe visual impairment, light sensitivity, and other ophthalmic complications.

In addition, she has been diagnosed with bilateral cataracts with an acute risk of vision loss in her left eye. In Ukraine, there are no specialized surgeons with experience in performing cataract surgery in children with aniridia.

We have already undergone examinations in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Dubai, regularly monitored intraocular pressure, and used preventive eye drops. However, in order for Eva to receive visual correction with glasses, doctors strongly recommend surgery on her left eye.

Current visual acuity:
Right eye: 0.1
Left eye: 0.05

With great respect, we kindly ask for your consideration regarding possible financial support for treatment in Germany at the University Hospital Halle:
https://www.umh.de/einrichtungen/kliniken-und-departments/augenheilkunde

This is the only center where a professor with extensive experience in operating on patients with aniridia performs such surgeries.
Could you please inform us what information is required for further consideration of our request?
